My work focuses on fruit crop physiology and production of deciduous fruit crops (cranberry, apple, and grapes in particular).
What is your passion? The great outdoors–seeing it, breathing it, living it.
What advice do you have for undergrads, grads, postdocs seeking careers in STEM fields? Don’t give up and don’t be afraid of failing, but most importantly learn to recognize when you need help and ask for it.
Are you involved in any outreach programs (campus, state, or national)? As an extension specialist with UW-Madison and UW-Extension, I deliver about 25-35 presentations each year off campus to fruit growers.
What do you like to do when you’re away from work? Spending time with my husband and 2 kids. I also love cooking and knitting.
